    Deactivation and deoxygenation of catalysts

  • Original language description

Deoxygenation of triglycerides, which are the main components of vegetable oils, has potential to become the main source of renewable hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons can be used either for production of diesel fuel by mild isomerization or of ethylene by steam cracking. The long term stability of activity of the heterogenous catalysts that catalyse this reaction is essential particulary from the industrial point of view.
