This paper is oriented on constructivist concepts in university education and brings several interesting ideas, how to applicate this concepts for active learning and improving the professional skills and knowledge of students, e.g. project learning, group working and collaborative learning. There are defined several alternative teaching and learning methods on enhancement knowledge level of students. In the paper are also mentioned learning management systems and virtual learning environment and theirimpact on learning culture. In this article are cited some research projects, which should help to achievement high learning culture in university. Modern information technologies are going to enhance development of new methods of searching, acquiring, organizing, processing, sharing and using of information from various sources and disseminate it to users, namely by using VLE and LMS.
