Original language description
Municipalities play important role in regional development. Being core units of public administration, these local level subjects can form various forms of partnerships in order to be more effective and provide better services to the respective region. In this paper, tourism, on the other hand, is chosen for its important role in economic development. The paper first describes the importance of inter-municipality cooperation for regional development and then presents research findings on partnership forms used by municipalities and benefits they have from such partnerships in respect to tourism.
