study deals with a new font Comenia Script, which in the Czech Republic provoked extensive discussion. The aim of the authors Radana Lencova graphic artist and designer Frantisek Storm Thomas is the simplification of written script - Latin, taking into account individual needs and peculiarities of children younger than school age, which passes through the rehearsal and learning basics of reading and writing. New script font Comenia due to decision of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports was tested from 2010 to 2012 in two-year pilot validation in selected first classes of primary schools in the Czech Republic.Study presents the results of research and professional awareness Latin public Comenia Script font on a sample of respondents in the CzechRepublic in the framework of the Institute for specific research and pre-primary education of the Faculty of Education University of Hradec Kralove
