This study deals with the emotional education in schools. It characterizes current social situation in the Czech Republic and focuses mainly on changes in family in past and in the present. It also focuses on the crisis and emotional numbness. We consider the development of emotions and emotional education as one of the solutions to this issue. The article describes the emotional upbringing in a family and the opportunities of emotional education in schools.
