    The first part of the book contains a program focused on basic themes speech-language therapy in Czech republic - definition and approach to the field Speech-Language Therapy (SLT), interdisciplinary relationships and SLT, important concepts in the development of SLT in the Czech republic, psycholinguistically oriented approach to SLT. The author describe a approach in Czech SLT to diagnostic and therapeutic work, with focus to organisation of SLT into different branchs - Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education,Youth and Sports, Ministry of Labour and Social Affeairs. The contents of pregradual university study of SLT in Czech republic is included also. The second part of the text are written for specific and very important field of SLT - developmental and acquired neurogenic commnunication disorders in contemporary Czech SLT. It provides essential information about etiology, sympthomathology, assessment and therapy of developmental dysarthria, developmental dysphagia and developmental dysphasia in children a pupils in program of elementary or special school. Secont part of text includes problems of acquired dysarthria, acquired dysphagia and aphasia. The part of text can be usefull for speech-language therapists, special teachers, caregivers, early childhood educators and elementary school teachers. Final part of the text includes two case studies demonstrates application of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in speech-language therapy practice, with the effort to introduce the long-term process of therapy and multidisciplinary intervention in the benefit of such affected people and their families, with emphasis on situation in current Czech SLT.
