Original language description
The objective of our paper is to discuss applicability of ontologies in recommendation systems that help users to identify relevant digital resources. We propose a system that applies domain ontologies to categorize resources and to capture information about users' interests and preferences. We explain how to utilize ontologies and ontology tools in different ways with the aim to enhance functionalities of our recommendation system. We also demonstrate our idea on example - we describe the application that would help students of computer science to orientate in amount of articles stored in digital libraries.
