Ambient Intelligence (AmI) offers the conception of systems and applications that will be sensitive and responsive to the presence of humans. The development of AmI environments is complex task, as their features and functioning can neither be predefinednor forecasted because of different emergent or synergic effects. Learning management systems (LMS), web-based educational applications, can serve as an experimental area where AmI solutions can be developed and tested. In the paper we suggest new research directions related to LMS and AmI and we explain how the evolution of next generation of LMS can benefit from AmI visions. The list of possibilities starts with hardware-oriented innovations and goes over particular experiments with AmI algorithms tothe evaluation of users` reactions and responses of the proposed AmI systems.

Czech description

Všudypřítomná inteligence (AmI) nabízí novou koncepci systémů a aplikací, která by reagovala na přítomnost člověka a jeho potřeby v nějakém prostředí. Vývoj prostředí se všudypřítomnou inteligencí je značně komplikovaný, jelikož jejich vlastnosti a fungování záleží na různých emergentních či synergických vlivech. systémy pro počítačovou podporu vyučování resp. na webových technologiích založené výukové aplikace mohou sloužit jako zajímavé experimentální oblasti pro vývoj a testování AmI aplikací. V článku navrhujeme některé směry výzkumu v tomto směru.
