The paper provides results of a questionnaire survey which was applied within an event called HIT Career providing university students and graduates with the opportunity to monitor what positions are offered on the labour market, what competences are required from employees by employers. Students and graduates can make contacts with companies and even find a job there, both the part-time job, which they can do during their studies, or a full-time job where graduates are required. The event participantsprovided self-evaluation of their competences and opinion and experience on how they were going to find a job or whether they had succeeded on the labour market.
