Max-prod eigenvectors and their applications in decision making
Original language description
The max-prod eigenvectors play very important role in the AHP approach. The number of independent eigenvectors can be considered as the degree of the preference matrix consistency. If the number is greater than one, then there exist more than one consistent approximation of the preference matrix. For the consistent approximation determined by the found independent eigenvectors, their distance from the original preference matrix can be specified. The distance function then can be used to find an optimalconsistent approximation. The method is illustrated by numerical examples.
