    Currently, the sources of the competitive advantage are scarce. As generally agreed, knowledge represents one of the renewable resources. This is truth only when knowledge is used, shared and applied. Therefore, effectively managed sharing processes possess potential for the purposes of the improvement of the efficiency, employees' satisfaction or the overall organisational image. For that reason, this paper explores sharing processes in relation to the knowledge management enhancement within the organisations. The main aim is to provide the introduction of particular best practices in the discussed areas usable within various contexts. The main value added of the analysed case study is grounded in revelation of different techniques and procedures which either encourage or inhibit sharing processes. The aspects of knowledge management with respect to knowledge sharing and knowledge base creation are discussed. Best practices and recommendations are derived on the basis of the experienc
