Reflecting the call for new knowledge and skills required from the graduates of the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, four new subjects were added to the curriculum. To ensure the quality of highly professional training programme, the faculty started cooperation with IBM in the summer semester 2015. The aim of the joint training programme BigData EduCloud is to provide students with practical professional skills and prepare them for new positions that have recently been created on the labour market. The paper introduces (1) the concept of innovative approach to reaching the competences required form FIM graduates and (2) students´ success rate in the courses.
