Today&apos;s companies are trying to make the most efficient operation possible. To optimize the company is necessary to know the complex firm functioning - ie corporate/business processes. Using the UML (Unified Modeling Language) or BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) syntax, complex diagrams and methodologies are created to make the best use of these syntax. This article introduces this useful notation from its inception to the present and points to some problematic aspects of its use.
