In the presentation we will describe a programmable monitoring adapter for high-speed links up to 10 Gb/s. The firmware of the adapter, based on Virtex-II FPGA, contains functional blocks (e.g. filtering unit, sampling unit, statistical unit and payloadchecker) to support a wide range of monitoring applications. The adapter provides all preprocessing and data filtering at full link-speed. The adapter has been developed in the project SCAMPI (IST-2001-32404)

Czech description
V článku popisujeme programovatelný monitorovací adaptor pro zpracování dat při rychlosti do 10Gb/s. Adaptor je postaven na bázi hradlových polí VIRTEX II. Jeho firmware obsahuje funkční bloky (filtrování, samplování, statistické jednotky a inspekce obsahu paketu) pro podporu monitorovacích aplikacích při rychlosti do 10 Gb/s. Adaptor včetně firmware byl vyvinut v rámci projektu SCAMPI (IST-2001-32404).
