Application of data mining methods in assisted reproduction technology
Original language description
Introduction: Development of explorative computer analysis system of data describing assisted reproduction (AR) cycles and verification of the system clinical applicability in the analysis of fertilization phase of AR cycle. Materials and Methods: Analyzed file included data about AR cycles in 4470 patients which 666 clinical pregnancies stored electronically in clinical data register. Conditions of successful therapy in single phases of AR cycles were analyzed using SHLUK system that includes multiplemethods for data mining. Analysis of relation between reasons and results in AR cycles was done using implication method IMPL and method of group implication GRIMPL. Fertilisation rate (FR) was evaluated as fertilisation stage outcome. Afterwards relation between sperm analysis parameters and IVF outcome represented by fertilization rate (FR) was tested as the model of system clinical application. Results: Significantly higher FR (61%) was found in cycles with sperm concentrations 41-60
