Original language description
Macroseismic evaluation of the 1855 Visp earthquake effects presented by Volger in 1856-58 is discussed. It is demonstrated that the macroseismic scale of the damage-to-buildings submitted and applied by Volger as well as his contruction of isoseismal-like lines into map of the affected region represents the first standard macroseismic analysis of an earthquke.

Czech description
Je diskutována makroseismická analýza zemětřesení ve Vispu v r. 1855. předložená Volgerem v r. 1856-58. Je demonstrována makroseismická stupnice založená na odstupňovaných škodách na budovách Volgerem sestavená a aplikovaná, spolu s konstrukcí kvazi-izoseismických linií do mapy postižené oblasti. Tento postup představuje první příklad standardní makroseismické analýzy zemětřesení.
