Original language description
The standard techniques of inner (lower) and outer (upper) approximations, used in measure and probability theory, are applied to fuzzy and possibilistic measures in order to define their inner and outer extensions. The idea of measurability in the Lebesgue sense is generalized in such a way that a subset of the basic space is called almost measurable, if the difference between its outer and inner measure does not exceed (or: is smaller than) a given threshold value.
