Euler potentials for two current sheets of nonzero thickness along ambient uniform magnetic field
Original language description
Euler potentials of two current sheets of nonzero thickness parallel or antiparallel to each other and aligned with a uniform ambient magnetic field are constructed analytically. The results generalize ones obtained earlier for systems of two line currents and of two current sheets with zero thickness. Conditions for particle mirroring in this field structure are investigated. The results can be applied to Birkeland currents.
