Original language description
The main purpose of this workshop was to get together researchers, both theoreticians and observers, to discuss past and future observations of Black Hole X-ray Binaries (BH XRBs) and Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) by Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE), the NASA and ASI X-ray polarimetric mission launched at the end of 2021. The participants were invited mainly from IXPE topical working group for Accreting Stellar-mass black holes and Radio quiet AGN. The workshop focused mainly on mutual discussions and collaborative work motivated by several invited talks summarizing IXPE observations of BH XRBs andnAGN, modelling issues that these observations raised, suggesting ideas for future IXPE observations and presenting new theoretical and numerical models of these systems and their X-ray polarization properties.
