This work was aimed to evaluate the role of inhibitory Gi proteins and nifedipine-sensitive calcium influx in alpha-adrenergic vasoconstriction in WKY and SHR rats.Pretreatment with nifedipine or PTX reduced both phenylephrine- and clonidine-induced blood pressure responses, the changes being greater on alpha 2-adrenergic vasoconstriction. Our results indicate that Gi proteins and VDCC play an important role in adrenergic vasoconstriction

Czech description
Úkolem práce bylo přispět k odhalení úlohy inhibičních Gi proteinů a nifedipin-senzitivního influxu vápníku v alfa-adrenergní vazokonstrikci u WKY a SHR potkanů. Předchozí podání nifedipinu nebo PTX snížilo fenylefrinem- a klonidinem-vyvolanou tlakovou odpověď, změna byla větší u alfa 2-adrenergní vazokonstrikce. Naše výsledky naznačují že Gi proteiny a VDCC hrají důležitou roli v adrenergní vazokonstrikci
