Inactivation of Gi proteins by pertussis toxin diminishes the effectiveness of adrenergic stimuli in conduit arteries from spontaneously hypertensive rats

  • Original language description

The influence of Gi protein inactivation by pertussis toxin (PTX) on the effectiveness of adrenergic vasoconstriction was studied in rings of isolated conduit arteries of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). The magnitude of maximum contraction to norepinephrine was attenuated and dose-response curve shifted to the right in arteries of PTX-treated SHR. These findings explain blood pressure reduction seen in SHR subjected to PTX treatment

Inaktivace Gi proteinů pomocí pertusis toxinu snižuje efektivitu adrenergní stimulace artérií spontánně hypertenzních potkanů

  • Czech description

Vliv inaktivace Gi proteinů pomocí pertusis toxinu (PTX) na efektivitu adrenergní vasokonstrikce byl studován na isolovaných artériích spontánně hypertenzních potkanů (SHR). Velikost maximální kontrakce vyvolané noradrenalinem byla zmenšena a křivka dávkové odpovědi byla posunuta doprava v artériích SHR potkanů vystavených působení PTX. Tyto nálezy vysvětlují pokles krevního tlaku u SHR po podání PTX
