    The effect of pertussis toxin-treatment on integrated vasoactive response of vascular system in spontaneously hypertensive rats

    The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of treatment with pertussis toxin (PTX) on hypotensive response induced by acetylcholine and bradykinin and on noradrenaline-induced pressor response in SHR. The increase of hypotensive and pressor response occured in SHR was prevented after the PTX treatment. The results suggest that the activation of PTX-sensitive G protein is involved in regulation of integrated vasoactive response of arterial system in SHR and PTX treatment could be effectively involved in the regulation of blood pressure

    Účinek podání pertussis toxinu na integrovanou vazoaktivní odpověď vaskulárního systému u spontánně hypertenzních potkanů

    Cílem studie bylo sledovat účinek podání pertussis toxinu (PTX) na hypotenzní odpověď vyvolanou acetylcholinem a bradykininem a na noradrenalinem vyvolanou tlakovou odpověď u SHR potkanů. Zesílení hypotenzní a tlakové odpovědi pozorované u SHR bylo zabráněno podáním PTX. Výsledky naznačují, že aktivace PTX-senzitivních G proteinů je zapojena do regulace integrované vazoaktivní odpovědi arteriálního systému u SHR a podání PTX může být účinně zapojeno do regulace krevního tlaku
