Original language description
The reactive oxygen species (ROS) responsible for cardioprotective signaling is not known. The present study focuses on superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and hydroxyl radical, each of which has been proposed as the signaling ROS. Our results support the conclusion that the ROS message is carried by a downstream product of hydroxyl radical and that it is probably a product of phospholipid oxidation
