Abstract concepts of extending a general integral are given. Thomson´s notion of variational measure is used to describe extensions of the Lebesgue integral, which lead to the Kurzweil integral and allow its description in terms of Lebesgue integrable sequences. The paper is a report on recent research in the field.

Jsou uvedeny abstraktní pojmy rozšiřování obecného integrálu. Thomsonův pojem variační míry je použit k popisu rozšíření Lebesgueova integrálu, která vedou ke Kurzweilovu integrálu a umožní jeho popis pomocí posloupností Lebesgueovsky integrovatelných funkcí. Práce je zprávou o současném výzkumu v dané oblasti.
