On the Goldberg-Sachs theorem in five dimensions
Original language description
Main results on a generalization of the Goldberg-Sachs theorem to five dimensional Einstein spacetimes are briefly overviewed. In particular, we focus on necessary conditions on the optical matrix of a multiple WAND. We point out that there are three canonical classes of the 3 3 optical matrices, each involving just two parameters. We refer to explicit examples of spacetimes corresponding to each of these forms.
