Generalization of a theorem of Bruckman on Dickson pseudoprimes
Original language description
We use a complex seed for the Somos-5 sequence to get Gaussian integers with real and imaginary parts related by the Fibonacci sequence. For example, if {sn} is Somos-5 with seed (1,1, i,1,1), then {s2n}n≥1 is the sequence 1, 1, 1+i, 2−i, 2+3i, 5−3i, 5+8i, 13−8i, 13+21i, 34−21i,..., and the sequence of L1-norms is the Fibonacci sequence starting at 1.
