Infrared Laser-Powered Homogeneous Decomposition of (Chloromethyl)trimethylsilane: 1,2-Cl Shift and Methene Expulsion Yielding Chlorotrimethylsilane.
Original language description
The infrared laser-induced sulfur hexafluoride-photosensitized decomposition of (chloromethyl)trimethylsilane affords chlorotrimethylsilane and ethene as major primary products, showing this reaction occurring via 1,2-Cl shift and methene expulsion. At conditions of higher effective temperature, decomposition of chlorotrimethylsilane and reactions between sulfur hexafluoride and Si-containing compounds become important.
