    Laser-Induced Synthesis of Iron-Iron Oxide/Methylmethoxysilicone Nanocomposite

    IR laser irradiation of gaseous mixture of iron pentacarbonyl- methoxytrimethylsilane-ethene in Ar induces ethene-photosensitized decomposition of iron pentacarbonyl into elemental iron and decomposition of methyltrimethoxysilane into species that polymerize into methylmethoxysilicone. These two concurrent gas-phase processes allow formation of Fe-Fe oxide/methylmethoxysilicone nanocomposite that is revealed by spectral analyses and electron microscopy as consisting of Fe clusters oxidized in outer layers and covered with the organosilicon polymer. The procedure shows its potential for gas-phase synthesis of Fe-based clusters embedded in polymer matrix

    IČ laserové ozařování plynné směsi pentakarbonylu železa-trimetyl(metoxy)silanu-etylénu v Ar vede k etylenem fotosenzibilovanému rozkladu pentakarbonylu železa na elementární železo a k rozkladu trimetyl(metoxy)silanu na částice, které polymerují na metylmetoxysilikonový polymer. Dva současně probíhající procesy dovolují tvorbu Fe/Fe oxide/metylmetoxysilikonového nanokompositu, o kterém bylo prokázáno pomocí spektrálních analýz a elektronové mikroskopie, že se skládá z shluků Fe oxidovaných na povrchu apokrytých organokřemičitým polymerem. Tato procedura je slibná pro syntézu shluků Fe vložených do polymerní matrice
