2D velocity-field analysis using triple decomposition of motion

Result description

A straightforward application of the new triple decomposition of the local relative motion near a point to 2D velocity fields is presented. Unlike the Cauchy-Stokes double decomposition of motion into a pure straining motion and a rigid-body rotation thetriple decomposition of motion aims, moreover, at the extraction of an effective pure shearing motion. It results in a more detailed flow description as the third term is responsible for a specific portion of vorticity labelled "shear vorticity" and fora specific portion of strain rate labelled "shear strain rate"

    Analýza 2D rychlostního pole užitím trojné dekompozice pohybu

    Je prezentována přímá aplikace nové trojné dekompozice lokálního relativního pohybu v okolí bodu na 2D rychlostní pole. Narozdíl od Cauchyovy-Stokesovy dvojné dekompozice pohybu na rotaci jako tuhé těleso a čistou deformaci trojná dekompozice pohybu má za cíl extrahovat navíc efektivní smykový pohyb. Tím poskytuje detailnější popis toku, protože třetí člen odpovídá za specifickou část vířivosti označovanou jako "smyková vířivost" a za specifickou část rychlosti deformace označovanou jako "smyková rychlost deformace"
