On the pressure dependent viscosity of PIM compounds
Original language description
In the last decade there have appeared a series of papers dealing with rheological properties of PIM compounds, however no attention has been paid to the pressure affected viscosity. Nevertheless, at higher loading levels (flow complicated by the onset of instabilities) sensitivity to pressure seems to be enhanced comparing to pure polymer binder. In order to generalise this finding, this contribution examines three types of PIM powders differing in their characteristics, whose flow is stable in the broad range of shear rates.
