Application of the CORDIC algorithm in digital frequency synthesizers.

Original language description

The contribution deals with the generation of the sine/cosine signal in the digital frequency synthesizer. The procedure exploits the iterative approximation algorithm CORDIC. A special attention is paid to the cooperation between the accumulator and theapproximation algorithm and to preparation of initial values for this approximation. The level of spurious originated by the approximation is show on two figures. The procedure is simulated using the computer program Matlab.
