    The contribution deals with the generation of the sine and cosine signal in the digital frequency synthesizer without the ROM table. The procedure exploits the approximation algorithm CORDIC. A special attention is paid to the cooperation between the accumulator and the approximation algorithm. The procedure is simulated using the computer prograqm Matlab.
