Feedback loops in the signal paths cotrolling gene expression

Result description

The individual proteins encoded by genes may function as expression regulators - activators or repressors - for other /or the same/ gene's transcription and translation. The simple case of two genes P and Q encoding the proteins p and q is analyzed supposing that the protein q promotes transcription of its own gene Q but represses that of the gene P. The nonlinear and coupled kinetic equations describing this system are analysed using diagrammatic technique. Numeric examples are given.

    Individuální proteiny, kódované geny, mohou působit jako regulátory exprese ? aktivátory nebo represory ? pro transkripci a translaci jiných (nebo stejných) genů. V práci je analyzován jednoduchý případ dvou genů P a Q, které kódují proteiny p a q za předpokladu, že protein q podporuje transkripci svého vlastního genu Q, ale potlačuje transkripci genu P. Nelineární a vázané kinetické rovnice popisující tento systém jsou analyzovány diagramatickou metodou. Práce je doplněna numerickými příklady.
