Recording of long-period gratings in special single-mode fibers by a CO2 laser
Original language description
The contribution deals with the fabrication of long-period gratings (LPGs) in optical fibers by focused beams of CO2 lasers and with the interaction of a laser beam with fiber. In the contribution, transmission spectra of the fabricated LPGs with different grating period were shown. Effect of optical damage of the fibers caused by intense laser beam on the LPG transmission spectra was also discussed.
