The band structure of guided modes in a segmented planar waveguide for the terahertz range is investigated. The dispersion curves are obtained using two different methods. The first approach is based on a close relationship between the band structure andnarrow resonances in transmission spectra. The second technique involves a modal analysis approach of diffraction gratings. Propagation of THz guided waves along the grating is also investigated using a bi-directional mode expansion and propagation method.

Czech description
V článku je zkoumána pásová struktura vedených módů v segmentovém planárním vlnovodu pro terahertzovou oblast. Disperzní křivky jsou získány dvěma metodami. První je založena na úszké souvislosti mezi pásovou strukturou a ostrými rezonancemi v transmisním spektru. Druhá vychází z modální analýzy difrakčních mřížek.Je rovněž analyzováno šíření terahertzových vedených vln podél mřížky s pomocí metody rozkladu a obousměrného šíření vlastních módů.
