    The OH bands present in FTIR spectra of the model layers of hydrated ZrO2 of gel character have been found also in corrosion layers of the samples after the exposition in autoclave in demineralized and deionized water at the temperature 360°C and the pressure ~19 MPa. This hydration ability of crystalline ZrO2 has been confirmed by sorption of water vapour. From the interpretation of sorption isotherms, strong interaction of water molecules with the surface of the layer is evident pointing to a chemisorption reaction.

    Pomocí FTIR zjištěné OH pásy v modelových vrstvách hydratovaného ZrO2 gelového charakteru byly nalezeny rovněž v korozních vrstvách vzorků po expozici v autoklávu v demineralizované a deionizované vodě při teplotě 360°C a tlaku ~19 MPa. Tato schopnost hydratace krystalického ZrO2 byla potvrzena sorpcí vodní páry. Z interpretace sorpčních izoterem je zřejmá silná interakce molekul vody s povrchem vrstvy, která naznačuje přítomnost chemisorpční reakce.
