    Influence of Hydration on the Characteristics of Zirconium Alloys Oxide Layers

    The comparative study of the two types zirconium oxide layers was performed to find out the influence of the water environment on their properties. It has been shown that XRD obtained characteristics as well as the mechanical properties of hydrated layers are different from those of dehydrated oxide layers for both the alloys under investigation. The higher plasticity was observed for Zr1Nb alloy hydrated oxide layers compared with those of Zry4 W alloy.

    Komparativní studium oxidických vrstev na dvou typech zirkoniových slitinách mělo za účel zjistit vliv vodního prostředí na jejích vlastnosti. Bylo ukázáno, že charakteristiky vrstev stejně jako jejích mechanické vlastnosti jsou odlišné pro hydratované adehydratované vrstvy. Hydratované oxidické vrstvy slitiny Zr1Nb jsou přitom plastičtější v porovnání s vrstvami slitiny Zry4 W.
