Top-crossing with evaluation of slaughtering value in common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) offspring.
Original language description
A three-year test of growth performance and offspring survival from top-crossing of common carp hybrids in low altitude (350 m above the sea level, middle European climate) and in high altitude (750m above the sea level, middle European climate) was terminated by assessment of slaughtering value of edible parts in the respective strains. A recently established Hungarian synthetic mirror carp strain (HSM) was chosen for testing as maternal strain. The HSM, as well as wild Amur carp (AC), Ropsha carp (ROP) and Tata carp (TAT) were used as paternal strains.
