Les recherches récentes montrent que les agglomérations artisanales forment une composante stable dans la structuration de l'habitat celtique et qu'on les rencontre sur l'ensemble de l'aire celtique. On connaît aujourd'hui en Europe une trentaine de cesagglomérations, mais leur nombre ne cesse d'augmenter. L'image que nous en avons n'est donc s?rement que la partie émergée de l'iceberg.
