    Die Studie stellt den Brief der Opersängerin Emma Destinn an den österreichischen Kritiker Hermann Bahr vom 1910 dar und interpretiert seinen kulturell-historischen Hindergrund. Obwohl Bahr Destinns´ tschechischen Patriotismus verteidigte, die Rezeptionvon ihrer Kunst war eher negativ. Die Beziehung Destinns´ zu Bahr zeigt auch ihre Entscheidung, seinen Roman "Theater" zu übersetzen, die aber nicht realisiert wurde.
