    The manuscript collection of the former Francis Museum in Brno, holding G 11, is one of the three principal manuscript collections housed in the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno (holdings G 10, G 11, G 12) and contains 989 manuscripts. The majority of its manuscripts are Modern Age codices, but there are also 30 medieval manuscripts and 43 codices dating from the 16th century. Of the medieval items, seven choral liturgical manuscripts coming from abolished Moravian monasteries are very precious. TheModern Age manuscripts contain rich source material for studying Moravian history, local national history and geography, and the history of Moravian towns, dominiums, and municipalities.
