    Optimization of medium for growing an aquatic carnivorous plant Aldrovadna vesiculosa was looked for under in-vitro conditions. For Polish and Japanese strains of Aldrovanda, half-strength Gamborg B5 medium supplemented with only 500-1000 mg.l-1 KNO3 and300-1000 mg.l-1 peptone was found as being the best medium for rapid growth.
