Original language description
The diversity and taxonomy of 95 cyanobacterial strains isolated from freshwater reservoirs in Belgium and Luxembourg was studied (35 water bodies). It was solved the taxonomic status of polyphyletic genera, particularly the water-bloom forming Anabaena,Aphanizomenon, Microcystis and Planktothrix. The genetic diversity of benthic and planktic Anabaena-types was proved. The separation of the genus Cuspidothrix was confirmed.

Czech description
Byla studována diverzita a taxonomie 95 kmenů planktonních sinic izolovaných ze sladkovodních nádrží v Belgii a Lucembursku (35 nádrží). Byla vyřešena taxonomie některých polyfiletických rodů podílejících se na tzv. vodních květech, zejména z rodu Anabaena, Aphanizomenon, Microcystis a Planktothrix. Byla zjištěna genetická i taxonomická rozdílnost mezi planktonními a bentickými druhy z rodu Anabaena, které se liší rovněž strukturou kolonií a tvorbou plynových měchýřků. Byl a potvrzena samostatnost roduCuspidothrix.
