Notes on Juncus alpigenus K. Koch, in Iran and adjacent territories
Original language description
Juncus alpigenus K. Koch is reported to occur in the province of Azerbaijan, northwestern Iran. The species was previously recorded from the countries of the Caucasus and NE Turkey. The species belongs to Juncus sect. Ozophyllum, the Juncus atratus group, which is characterized by prominent longitudinal ridges on leaves. Relationships of Juncus alpigenus with similar species, particularly with the closely related Juncus thomasii are discussed.

Czech description
Juncus alpigenus K. Koch byl nově potvrzen pro provincii Azerbaijan v severovýchodním Iránu. Tento druh patřící do Juncus sect. Ozophyllum, skupiny Juncus atratus charakterizované nápadnými podélnými žebry na listech, byl v minulosti zaznamenán z Kavkazua SV Turecka. V článku je blíže diskutováno příbuzenství druhu Juncus alpigenus k podobným druhům především z okruhu Juncus thomasii.
