Original language description
Species composition of the cryosestic communities and snow chemical composition were evaluated in the Giant Mountains, Czech Republic. The chemical analyses revealed spatial microenvironment varation in nutrient concentration. Increased total phosphorusconcentrations were observed in the presence of zygospores of Chloromonas nivalis and Chloromonas bervispina while increased total nitrogen concnetrations were detected in the presence of zoospores of Chloromonas nivalis compared to snow without the cryoseston.
