Original language description
On large dataset of relevés of wetland annual vegetation from the Czech Republic and Slovakia we tested the method of formalised classification and its results compared with (1) "traditional" vegetation classification, and (2) formalised classification made for the Czech Republic. Formalised approach has led to significant reduction of number distinguished associations in comparison to traditional classification. On the other hand, it enabled to distinguish two new associations in the Czech Republic where they could not be defined on the basis of smaller Czech dataset. Descriptions of habitat ecology, dynamics, distribution and its changes, and threats are provided in each association.
