Histone H2AX-dependent GABA(A) receptor regulation of stem cell proliferation

  • Original language description

Here we provide evidence that an auto/paracrine gamma-amino butyric acid (GABa) signaling via GABA(A) receptors negatively controls embryonic stem (ES) cell and peripheral neural crest stem (NCS) cell proliferation, preimplantation embryonic growth as well as proliferation in the boundary cap stem cell niche, resulting in an attenuation of neuronal progenies from this niche. GABA(A) receptor activation hyperpolarizes the membrane potential, increase cell volume and cause accumulation of stem cells in the cell cycle S-phase, thereby causing a rapid reduction in cell proliferation.

Regulace proliferace kmenových buněk závislá na histonu H2AX a receptoru pro GABA(A)

  • Czech description

Práce poskytuje důkazy o tom, že kyselina gamma-amino máselná (GABA) negativně reguluje proliferaci embryonálních kmenových buněk a kmenových buněk neurální lišty, a růst preimplantačního embrya. Aktivace GABa-A receptoru hyperpolarizuje membránový potenciál, zvyšuje buněčný objem a způsobuje akumulaci kmenových buněk v S fázi.
