Differentiation of human embryonic stem cells induces condensation of chromosome territories and formation of heterochromatin protein 1 foci

  • Original language description

Nuclear arrangement, in correlation with transcriptional activity, of 0ct4 and the c-myc gene was investigated in human embryonic stem cells (hESC) undergoing differentiation. Additionally, nuclear distribution of all subtypes of HP1 protein was studiedin this experimental system. The structures responsible for hESC pluripotency were characterized by more de-condensed nuclear arrangement, while more conserved nuclear topography was found for structures responsible for cell cycle regulation and/or differentiation, such as the c-myc gene.

Diferenciace lidských embryonálních kmenových buněk indukuje kondenzaci chromosomálních teritorií a tvorbu ohnisek HP+ proteinu

  • Czech description

Korelace mezi jaderným uspořádáním a transkripční aktivitou Oct4 a c-myc genů byly studovány u lidských embryonálních kmenových buněk (hESC) stimulovaných k diferenciaci.
