Six different chromatin classes of chromatin are proposed for tomato: (1) euchromatin, (2) chromomeres, (3) distal heterochromatin and interstitial heterochromatic knobs, (4) pericentromere heterochromatin, (5) functional centromere heterochromatin and (6) nucleolar organizer region.

Na základě výsledků je navrženo třídění chromatinu rajčete do následujících typů: (1) euchromatin, (2) chromomery, (3) distální heterochromatin a intersticiální heterochromatinové shluky, (4) pericentrický heterochromatin, (5) funkční centromerický heterochromatin a (6) oblast organizátoru jadérka.
