Original language description
The performance of a newly developed diffusion denuder for artifact-free sampling of carbonaceous aerosols on filters was examined during summer and winter sampling campaigns at Ghent. The denuder performance was derived from the analysis of organic andelemental carbon at filters sampled with or without the denuder. The denuder was proved to eliminate positive sampling artefacts during collection of carbonaceous aerosols on filters.
